Programs that put people first

Everything Ignite Network does falls into three streams of work — connection, family support and practical care — delivered by locals, for locals, across the Sunshine Coast hinterland.

Community Connection

Loneliness is one of the quiet crises of regional Australia. Our connection programs create regular, welcoming spaces where people of every age and background can belong.

  • Community gatherings and shared meals open to everyone
  • Interest and social groups that meet throughout the week
  • Newcomer welcome — helping people new to the district find their feet and their people
  • Intergenerational activities that bring young and old together

Family & Youth Support

Strong families build strong communities. We walk alongside parents, children and young people with encouragement and practical support tailored to real life.

  • Support and friendship for parents and carers
  • Mentoring and positive role models for young people
  • Activities and safe spaces for children and youth
  • Referrals and pathways to professional services when specialist help is needed

Program Stream Three

Practical Care

When life gets hard, community should show up. Our care stream provides hands-on, practical help to people facing difficulty, isolation or crisis.

  • Visiting elderly and isolated community members
  • Meals, errands and practical assistance during illness, grief or crisis
  • Support for people navigating hardship and life transitions
  • Working alongside local services so no one falls through the gaps
How We Work

Our approach, in three steps

Show up consistently

Trust is built over time. We commit to being present in our community week after week, year after year — not just when it's convenient.

Listen first

We don't arrive with answers. We get to know people, understand what they actually need, and respond with humility and respect.

Act together

We mobilise volunteers and partner with local groups, schools and services to meet needs no one could meet alone.
